A single violation, by the employee or the holder, may jeopardize the business or the other employee&#8217;s jobs. It is\u00a0important that a license holder is diligent in complying with the requirements of the commission.<\/p>\n<p>Common violations, include:<br \/>\n\u2022 Right to inspect and search for liquor violation(s)<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">\u2022 Licensee receive aid or assistance (rebate, gift, loan)<br \/>\n<\/span>\u2022 Misdemeanor to sell or furnish alcohol to a minor<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Sell, or serve or allow intoxicated person to consume or loiter<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0<\/span>Licensee or employee intoxicated on premises<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0Allow person under 21 to consume or posses<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Employ person under 18 years of age<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Sell or furnish alcohol to a minor or intoxicated person<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Selling alcohol without a license<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Gambling or possession of gambling equipment<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Unlawful consumption of alcoholic liquor on unlicensed premises<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Dancing or entertainment without permit<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">\u2022\u00a0Adulterated, misbranded or refilled spirits<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Selling or purchasing on credit<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Allow alcoholic liquor sold for on-premise consumption to be removed from the premises<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0Giving away alcoholic liquor on unlicensed premises<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Selling before noon on Sunday without permit<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Illegal act on premises<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Licensee convicted of a felony, OUIL, etc.<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Failure to cooperate with law officers (obstruction)<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Knowingly allow soliciting\/prostitution<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0<\/span>Allowing fights on\/in licensed premises<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0Controlled substances\/narcotics paraphernalia<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">\u2022\u00a0Improper or no display of liquor license\/permits<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">\u2022\u00a0No contests allowed using alcoholic liquor as the prize<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">\u2022\u00a0Alteration, sale or transfer portion of premises without permission<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">\u2022\u00a0Sales, service, consumption during license suspension<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">\u2022\u00a0Illegal use and benefit of a liquor license<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">\u2022\u00a0Operation other than legal hours\/days<\/span><\/p>\n<p>See:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.michigan.gov\/documents\/CIS_LCC_viocodes_80218_7.pdf\">Michigan LARA<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Michigan Liquor Control Commission is a panel of five governor appointed commissioners that issues liquor licenses (MCL 436.1201 et seq);
